I suffered a back injury few yrs back n was told to stay away from the gym. And as you can imagine i'd gained a fair bit of weight.. stones of it. So i recently went bk to the gym where i was advised to use promax n maxitone. I hadn't used any of these products before and have heard horror stories about them, plus I also thought protein bars were only for weight gain. What I fool I was not using them before, I dropped 10lbs in the first wk my muscles were more defined within 24hours!? and you can actually feel them working almost like thermal. I have to warn people though if you take the tablets don't take them in the evening like I did by mistake you'll have no sleep. But they're great products and the mint flavour I could live on, its like a chunky after eight. Also I was really shocked at how filling the bars are too. And because they're harder to chew it really works with that idea that so many chews allows your brain to understand you're full. But yea I love them.I was so worried in the beginning to use these products because you hear so many horror stories etc but, they've made my life so much easier and actually as costly as they sound I've actually saved money using the products.

I had a dark choco orange one, not the best of tastes, took a bit of time eating it, normally I have 2 poached eggs and a salmon fillet after a work out, but I had a bar instead, didn't feel hungry at all that evening. Might go for the mint ones

I love these bars. I like both flavours and they are definately my favourite protein bar, some others i've tried have been a bit " gritty". Gets me easy protein and fills me up- especially good just post-gym or if im in a rush for lunch

Well thought out nutrition, works best alongside the other maximuscle diet products. As good as any maximuscle stuff but, IMHO, better value and for a protein bar, great taste and pretty filling! Have at least 1 every day!

As far as meal replacements go these taste really nice. They really suppressed my appetite. I found the more water I had with them the longer I stayed full. Worth the money especially if you buy a few boxes.

I thought they'd be vile - because you just expect something billed as a meal replacement to taste horrid.
But they don't. They're actually really nice.
Daz is right - the consistancy is chewy and filling, like nougat. I don't taste the chemical taste that sanj does, so can't comment on that.
CLA - studies show it reduces bodyfat.
Xylitol - natural sugar substitute that keeps the GI low and food tasting nice.
NB: remember, this contains caffeine, so don't eat one at 9pm and moan you have insomnia :)
Drink water with it. A lot. It will solve any problems you may have with the potential laxative effect the caffeine, Fibre and Xylitol MIGHT have. Of course, it all depends on your consititution.
On the whole, though, very nice bar. Has cut down on my intake and craving for sweets.
You will have to make your own decision, but 5/5 from me.
P.S. Delivery was super quick, too.

I hate to say it (i know maximuscle stuff is overpriced) but i love these bars.
They're great straight after a workout and for a change great tasting too.
Have the consistency of nougat but the flavour of Dark Chocolate (can't really taste the orange).
The added CLA and Xylitol are also additional bonuses I'm sure.
I'm a repeat Buyer and always will be.
p.s. I do not work for maximuscle, i just want all to know that the magority of protein bars are sickly, nutritionally unsound and taste horrible. These don't.

The gelatin in this product with be from animal source. I believe all gelatin is animal based - some "jelly" products use plant-based fibres but gelatin in sports supplements is generally from animals.
