Summary
Taking protein powders to the ultimate level, Promax Extreme takes Maximuscle's popular and highly effective Promax protein powder to new levels and is considered the 'number one' of protein powders.
Promax Extreme contains a collection of 7 unique ingredients including high dosages of glutamine, creatine and Beta-Ecdysterone, a plant used by "Eastern Bloc" strength and power athletes to help increase muscle mass during training. Promax Extreme includes a unique Biomax blend of whey isolate, hydrolysates and peptides, providing ultra fast delivery of muscle building amino acids after every workout. Biomax is rich in BLG protein fractions that deliver high levels of Branch Chain Amino Acids (BCAA's) to your muscles.
Glutamine is the most utilised amino acid during training and Promax Extreme delivers 5g per day to ensure optimum muscle recovery and growth. The addition of creatine gives you the muscle building punch you expect. If that wasn't enough, a unique collection of the amino acid Taurine, N-acetyl-Cysteine (NAC) and the physique enhancing polynicotinate form of Chromium have all been added at potent levels.
All the above makes Maximuscle's Promax Extreme one of the most advanced protein products available for anyone looking to achieve their lean muscle and strength goals faster than ever. If you want nothing but lean whey protein with all the extras thrown in and almost zero carbs or fats - this is for you!

An average protein shake.
Used to use this a while back.. All maximuscle products are over priced.
There are better products that I've used that are cheaper and have better results;
BSN & Gaspari
DO NOT BUY ORANGE!

Maximuscle are renowned for cutting-edge high quality products. As I'm sure the quality of the protein is great in Promax Extreme, but you can get the same nutrition for a lot less in other products.
Probably the best feature about Maximuscle products are they are the only ones I've taken that don't get me bloated or give me wind.
The Orange flavour I tried was rancid, I was gagging my way through the tub. I won't be buying this product again.
waste of time i saw no results from this product

Good Product BUT
Get Lean!!! on 27th May 2010
good product however it is expensive, all maximuscle products are expensive. IO have been goign the gym properly in an routine for about 3 weeks took this 3 times a day liek it says have a great exercise promgramme and yes seeing rersults but I am now using other products were I am seeing just as good results for a lot cheaper my adivce is:
look at the nutrients not the name protein is protein and carbs are carbs, if you want to get lean buy a product with high protein no matter what the name gain mass then buy a product with lots of carbs. People will spend £100 on a pair of nike trainers when new balancew will cost just 10 just cause of the na name well its the same with this apart from you dont walk around with your maximuscle tub so stop being nieve and wasting money!!
Great Product

Everything about this product is great; the taste, the protein content.. but then theres the price and the amount of servings. Within 2 weeks i was already at the bottom of my first tub, apart from that i have seen gains in muscle size and strength.

Q & A
- Q. What is the difference between Maximuscle Promax and Maximuscle Promax EXTREME ???...and can it be taken during fat loss process ??
- A.
The main difference between the two is the massive protein hit you get per serving in the Promax Extreme. Both of these products are perfect for fat loss when couple with a good nutritional plan, you may even benefit from using Thermobol which aids fat burning whilst grouped with intense training and a good diet.
- Q. I am currently using Maximuscle Promax Extreme and also using Muscletech Cel Tech Hardcore, do you think this is too much creatien?
Any advise on any better combo for defenition, bulk and strength?
Thanks - A.
If you are consuming a full serving a day of Promax Extreme daily then you will be having a daily intake of 5grams of creatine so if this is combined with one serving of cell-tech ( 10g creatine) then you will consuming 15g of creatine a day which is acceptable.
If you are past the loading phase of 20g of creatine per day then you want to try stay around the 10g mark of creatine for a maintenance phase, simply because if your creatine stores are full then any excess creatine is simply excreted.
If you are trying to get lean, then a product recommendation would be quite different than if you are trying to build muscle (the first requires eating more calories and the second requires eating fewer). You have to decide if you want to gain or lose! - Q. If I'm taking Pre and Post workout supplements already, and my aim is fast muscle building, then is it better to take a protein powder like this, or an all-in-one supplement (such as cyclone or Synergy)? Taking into consideration both cost and exercise benefit.
Say a supplement such as creatine, which has an RDA of 5g is included in more than one supplement in my stack, and the total comes to say 7 or 8g, is this more beneficial than just 5g, less, or makes no difference?
Why is this product so incredibly expensive when its just a protein powder? - A.
If you have a fast metabolism, have trouble building muscle or a pretty poor diet (you don't eat at least 5 or 6 times per day), then you are better off with something that has more carbs and calories, like Muscle Fuel Anabolic, Mutant Mass, Mass-Tech, etc.
After you've loaded you creatine, you should take 1 to 2 5 gram servings per day so 7 or 8g is fine.
Maximuscle products always carry a premium price and it's up to you to decide if they are worth the extra money. - Q. Is this stuff better than MuscleTech Whey Protein Hardcore' I am using Promax Extreme at the moment and wanted to buy the Whay Protein Hardcore! Thanks.
- A.
Promax Extreme contains ingredients beyond just protein (such as creatine, NAC, etc), so it will have greater effects than Whey Hardcore. However, MuscleTech also do Nitro-Tech, which also contains creatine and several other ingredients to improve muscle pumps and insulin function. This product has scientific several studies to back up its ingredients and is one of the best-selling protein products in the world.
- Q. How much creatine does this product actually contain' Doesn't seem to say on the page.
- A.
They don't list the amount on the tub, so it is proprietary information that the company will not divulge.
