Summary

To gain weight you need to increase your daily food intake with good nutrition. Protein and carbohydrates are the key nutrients in weight gaining and achieving a ‘toned’ look. A good daily diet is important and should be supplemented at least 3 times per day with a nutritious drink (between meals). The extra protein and carbohydrate (not fat and refined sugar) will enable your body to gain weight healthily. Weight Gain is ideal for those with a fast metabolism or lean physique who find it difficult to ‘bulk up’ with their normal calorie intake. Most of the energy comes from carbohydrates and protein rather than fat (35% protein, 50% carbs, 4% fat). 9g Creatine and 18g BCAA’s per daily serving.

I wrote a very positive review for this product on the 21st of January, however recently my opinion has changed.
About 2 months ago I notcied a change in the flavour, which I personally felt tasted slightly worse than the previous flavour but was still drinkable.
I didn't think to look to see if the nutritional info had changed as well. It was only when I was showing a friend this product yesterday that I noticed there was now 40G OF SUGARY CARBS for every 50g of carbs in the shake. Thats 90% of the carbs being sugary ones. THE RDA (RECOMMENDED DAILY ALLOWANCE) FOR SUGARY CARBS IS 90G. SO 2 SHAKES AND WITH EATING NOTHING ELSE YOU ARE ALMOST AT YOUR RDA.
There is NO WAY I WOULD BUY THIS PRODUCT NOW AND WILL DEFINATLY BE SWITCHING WEIGHT GAINER.

tried many over the years but this has to be one of the worst ones yet.. u can actually taste all the nutrients, like (creatinr powder) etc. and feel them when you drink it. im not 1 to dcomplain as i usually jus get it down for the carbs , protein etc.. if you want a weight gainer i recommend critical mass, or usn mf mass.

I tried the choc flavour for 2 weeks and basically spent 2 weeks going to the toilet cos this stuff just went right through me. I couldnt figure out why my digestion was so messed up until I realised it started about 24 hours after I switched to Nutrisport weight gainer.

I've tried many different weight gainers over the years and this has nevevr happened before. I ended up loosing about 7lb, not what you want from a weight gainer.

Have used both Strawberry and Banana, Strawberry doesn't taste too good, kinda reminds me a little bit of strawberry sick! But the Banana is delicious! Dunno how good it's gonna be, but it gives decent protein amounts in a maltodextrin carb mix, and for a good price.

Q & A

Q. whats the difference between nutrisport weight gain and nutrisport protein and complex carbs?
A.

The weight gainer also contains 3g of Creatine Monohydrate and 6g of BCAA's

Q. hi i like nutrisport supplements and now im on the bulking getting the weight gainer but the sugar is well high
A.

When you are bulking, hi GI carbs (the ones that raise your blood sugar like sugar does) should not be a major concern. But if you'd rather avoid sugar, there are a number of other gainers that contain small amouints (about 10% of calories) - Mutant Mass, Real Mass, etc.
