Summary

Maximuscle’s Promax adds extra protein to your diet, which is vital for building muscle, especially for people who train with weights on a regular basis. Protein is also essential whilst dieting to reduce the loss of muscle tissue. Promax is the UK’s leading protein powder, thanks to its taste, mixing and benefits it offers all gym and sports users.

Weight trainers have known for a long time that protein is vital for anyone wanting to build lean muscle growth, increase strength and optimise recovery. Scientists agree that protein is one of the most important and essential nutrients for health, growth and well-being, especially when weight training. Even people trying to lose excess fat have found the benefits of following a high protein, low carb diet.

Whereas some brands require you to ‘top up’ the calories or ‘improve’ the taste by adding milk, we are aware that some people find it hard to digest milk. Therefore Promax is one of the only protein drinks that is designed to be mixed with water and still taste great. For those who feel casein in milk is a benefit at bedtime, Promax also tastes great and mixes easily with milk for slower digestion.

Britain's No.1 selling protein powder
Biomax’s special whey fomula contains very low levels of lactose. Lactose is present in milk and many dairy products and is poorly digested in some adults resulting in gastric problems. Promax is suitable for lactose introlerant people. Promax also contains special enzymes which help digest protein for easier and faster absorption. So you can enjoy the results, without experiencing the side effects that some protein powders cause.

Promax contains Biomax, a blend of whey protein isolate, hydrolysed whey and whey peptides, which are exclusive to Maximuscle. Biomax provides ultra fast delivery of muscle building amino acids after every workout, to aid your recovery and support muscle growth. No egg, skimmed milk powder, soya or casein are added as they are known to cause stomach discomfort to some individuals. Promax is the only protein powder to contain the muscle building environment support formula, ‘Nitrogain’, a blend of NAC, Taurine, chromium polynicotinate, and glutamine peptides.

Promax has been designed for maximum convenience, no messy blenders are required. For best results add to water in a Maximuscle shaker (or stir with a fork in a glass of water) and within 20 seconds, you’ll have a smooth, high quality protein shake. Best of all, you have 8 great tasting flavours to choose from and 1 plain for mixing into your recipes.

Not a bad product, there are better products available and some are cheaper. You can get results if you take 2 shakes a day, but that makes it disappear quickly! Tubs are almost half empty too which is annoying.

More expensive than some proteins, but I am convinced it is the highest quality out there. My performance in games since taking has increased, and weights work in the gym has really come on well.

Q & A

Q. hi. i would wanna know if there is any differance between this tub and the previous style tub. meaning have they just changed the label or has the content changed aswell.
A.

It's the same formula.

Q. hi . i would like to ask if this product is suitable for vegetarians
A.

As long as you can eat milk ingredients this is fine for vegetarians, except for the Strawberry flavour, which has an extract from insects as a natural colour, so may not be considered vegetarian by some people.

Q. Hi. I've been using PHD Pharma whey for a while but im thinking of taking Promax. Do you think that Promax is a better quality protein powder' Thanks.
A.

Pharma Whey has been the fastest-growing product we sell and is our best-selling whey protein product - probably because the taste is excellent, it is of high quality and it is low in carbs and fat. Promax is also a good, quality protein but it isn't better than Pharma Whey

Q. Is it harmful to take protein powder if you are not fully grown?
A.

Protein restriction is only justified in very young children and people with existing or a high risk for kidney disease (or some other rare medical condiditons). In fact, protein becomes even more important to people who are growing (whether because of weight training or puberty, etc). The most popular supplement used by bodybuilders and other strength athletes is protein (especially whey protein).
