"Im a fitness instructor and ive, been using PhD BCAAs for two weeks now, seen increased workload, and prolonged definition after weights session. Havnt been taking during session just before and after, but would be good to use before fat burning cardio first thing in morning to prevent a catabolic state."

Q Between the BCAA and the Pharma HMB from PhD, which one would be more successful in helping with recovery time and/or fat loss? Thanks in advance

Both of these products are designed for different purposes, you can use them in conjunction with each other. BCAA's are essential for post-workout muscle recovery as Leucine, one of the three BCAA's is known for it's muscle building and recovery properties. HMB is known for it's natural testosterone boosting properties, which is essential for faster recovery whilst you sleep.

Q Hi, I am already taking PHD Diet Whey as my post workout drink along with some Weetabix to add some fast carbohydrates. I would like to understand if there is any extra benefit of adding extra BCAA? I follow intermittent diet and go for 14hours fasting and so looking to fill something in between. Do you also have any BCAA in powder format that I can take in the morning during my fast period and before training. Thanks

Hello, Yes - certainly, adding BCAAs will definitely be of additional benefit to that which you have outlined above. They facilitate muscular repair and development, and since they are essential amino acids, can be beneficial for those reducing their caloric intake (including intermittently), and wanting to ensure they are receiving an adequate intake of said nutrients.

Q What is the difference between These Amino Acids and Whey Protein powder which contains these Aminos anyway nutritionally is there really any difference?

BCAA's, L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine, and L-Valine, are probably the most essential amino acids for athletes in training and the body demands more of these amino's than any other amino. BCAA's have been shown to increase energy and helps speed up recovery after exercise. Studies also show that free aminos increase the muscle-building process more than proteins when taken before exercise. This probably has to do with the protein needing to be digested first.

Q are the gelatin capsules you use from pork?

They are either from pork or bovine/cow. PhD do not specify to us the source. I'll try and find out and get back to you.
