It is common knowledge that in order to build muscle tissue you need to consume adequate amounts of high quality protein. CNP Professional recommend that 1.5g of protein per pound of bodyweight should be consumed for those wishing to gain quality muscle. Try to achieve this by consuming solid foods and you'll find it becomes a difficult and impractical task.
For example, take someone weighing 200lbs: Their protein intake would need to be 300g. When you consider that a typical chicken breast or tin of tuna delivers approx 30 grams of protein, that would mean '10' chicken breasts or '10' tins of tuna a day. Also in today's fast track life style, many people turn to poor nutritional fast foods or even miss a meal. For these reasons the introduction of protein supplementation into many diets, from the health conscious individual to the serious athlete has now become a normal but important feature. CNP Professional's Pro-Peptide is a perfect answer to this problem.
CNP Professional's Pro-Peptide is an advanced blend of bioactive fast and slow proteins (Whey protein high fraction concentrate, Hydrolysed whey, Egg white and micellar casein) that provide both anabolic and anticatabolic properties, meaning less wasted protein and better protein utilisation. Also included are probiotic organisms (friendly bacteria), which assist in protein metabolism leading to improved nitrogen retention (the perfect environment for muscle growth) and maintaining a healthier digestive system. A high concentration of peptide-bonded glutamine ensures a superior absorption of this vital amino acid. Pro-Peptide is low in fat and lactose allowing further ease of digestion, is the most advanced protein supplement on the market today and is ideal for the health conscious individual to the serious athlete. Pro-Peptide contains:
Bifidus, acidophilus, yoghurt organisms, which is the healthy bacteria needed to promote an efficient digestive system, which will enable you to metabolise more nutrients.
Micellar casein (milk protein) is an undenatured slow released protein, medically proven to be anti-catabolic (stopping muscle breakdown).
Whey protein high fraction concentrate is an undenatured fast released protein containing higher levels of growth factors than normal whey protein concentrates.
Hydrolysed Whey is the most digestible whey protein, which is partially pre-digested for better absorption allowing the body to use it's complete range of amino acids for faster absorption and recovery. This is the first of the fast and slow proteins.
Whey protein is a by-product from the manufacture of cheese due to the heat-treating of milk (curds and whey). A lot of the growth factors and the amino acid cysteine become deficient because of this process. CNP's proteins are cold processed
Peptide Bonded Glutamine is an amino acid that promotes a healthy gut, increases growth hormone and is the highest amino acid found in human muscle (It would be very hard to get enough glutamine in the system from food alone).
Amino acids are absorbed by molecular weight and peptide bonded amino acids are heavier than free form.
Egg White has a high level of the amino acid cysteine, which is a key amino acid in maintaining muscle mass and helps protect the liver. Cysteine (Non Essential Amino Acid) plays an important role in the production of Glutathione (a small protein), which is the bodies primary anti-oxidant, which neutralises free radicals and enhances the immune system which is important in the manufacture of muscle growth.
"I would give this five stars but CNP have actually CHANGED the formulation of ProPeptide – it used to be a quite thick protein shake but is now a little bit finer and doesn't taste quite as nice.
Otherwise, it is superior to anything out there."

"Guys, taste is secondary, results are first... this product for me has it all; taste and gains. Muscles feel fuller and no problem on the stomach. I will be ordering again. Score product on results 10/10. Taste: I have strawberry and only take it with water, so 6.5/10 for that. Vanilla is the 8/10."

"Got this on sale and have to say the ingredient profile far surpasses anything out there apart from Reflex Peptide Fusion. Real micellar casein is used, not milk protein concentrate or calcium caseinate like inferior products. One of the best quality blends around. I've had chos mint, vanilla and strawberry and they were awesome tasting too. Banana less so but worth it for the quality"

"Not quite sure where people get the nice flavouring comments from, dont get me wrong this has a good profile, but taste wise i hated it and im not one to complain about taste as i down most of my shakes anyway!"
Qhi im looking for a whey protein that has no artificial sweeteners can you help please ?
Unfortunately there is not a lot of options as sweeteners are needed in order for protein to taste nice enough to drink. Nutrisport 90+ Vegan is the only product we stock that does not contain sweeteners.
QPro Peptide is the best tasting protein ive ever had and i dont want to stop taking it but recently ive found i dont have much time in the day so i would like to blend 3 servings in 1 go, I drink 1 immediateley but save 2 servings for midday and bedtime these dont taste the same as the immediate serving, are the 2 later servings lower in quality or even no use at all ?
The flavouring systems in the product are designed to be activated when mixed with liquids. so the flavour may alter throughout the day if they have been pre-mixed. It won't affect the quality or effectiveness of the ingredients though.
Qwhat creatin could i take with this product
Any creatine - try Cell-Tech for quick mass gains and Creakic for lean mass gains.
Sorry for the delayed response due to essential maintenance...
Qcan i take CNP BCAA tablets aswell as pro peptide?
Yes, no problem combining the two
Qcan i use this product with a cheaper brand of whey isolate to make it last longer?
Yes, it won't affect the way the Pro Peptide works.
QCan you compare CNP Pro Peptide, PhD Diet Whey product and PhD Recovery as best post workout drink as well as before bed?
My aim is not to bulk up but to have lean muscles.
Pro-pep is a combination of fast and slow release protein, diet whey has added fat burning ingredients to speed metabolic rate and Phd recover is perfect for post-workout. Stack all together.
Qdo ypu mix it with water or milk
Either is fine and won't affect the protein quality or absorption but the milk obviously adds extra carbs and calories but on the bright side it adds protein also.
Qdoes cnp pro peptide already contain bcaa in it?
Unfortunately, no additional BCAA’s are listed on the container.
Qdoes drinking this cause muscle aches? and what are the effects of me a (115lb 26yr old woman)?
Pro Peptide is a concentrated, high-quality milk protein (plus egg protein) product. These kinds of high-quality proteins have been shown to decrease muscle damage and increase recovery from exercise. So if anything, you will have fewer muscle aches. Gender and age are not important because these are natural, healthy proteins. So as long as you don't have some kind of medical condition, there is no risk of harm from using it.
Qhi, is this product ok to use if you are lactose intolerent
This product has less than 3 grams of lactose per serving, so it is unlikely to cause you any problems unless you are severely lactose intolerant.
Qhow much whey protein is in each serving
If you click the nutrition tab on the website it will give you a full break down of what's in the product per serving.
Per 2 scoop serving there is 45g of protein.
QI regularly go to gym and jog for 30 mins 3days/week.
I am looking for good low fat protein shake that is also low in sugar carbs. I usually mix the protein powder with breakfast Cereal, one pre and post workout and then post dinner.
For additional carbs, I usually mix Oats or weetabix with protein in my post workout drink.
Can you advise if this product will be better for me or pHD Diet whey? I am looking a product that can be used pre/post workout as well as bed time.
Pretty much all whey protein shakes are low in sugar and fats. CNP Pro-pep is a great combination protein with fast and slow release proteins. optimum nutrition gold standard whey is one of the best out there for quality and also being one of the lowest fat and sugar proteins.
QI train at night, around 8.30. Do you reckon it is best to take this split 3 times during the course of the day or one hit after training and sleep? I used to do the one hit and it worked well and just have three set meals and snack in between on fruit and other protein sources.
The most important time to take in quality protein is a few hours before training and right afterwards but if you train often, then your body will benenfit from regular addition of quality protein. So Ensure you've had some withing a few hours before training and right after but also add protein to snacks in between high-protein meals. If these snacks are already high in quality protein, then you probably don't have to use as much protein at other times.
Qis this suitable fow women who just want to tone up and help muscles recover after exercise sessions, i dont want to bulk up, if not what would be best to use?
This is suitable for men and women and will not make you bulk up. Pure protein products such as Pro-peptide from CNP will help with recovery and reduce muscle soreness after a hard training session.
